Learning to Love Letters

Soooooo I don't know about all of you, but I LOOOOOOOOOVE Valentine's Day!
It may be that I love the colors,
or maybe it's the cuteness,
or maybe because it's 5 days after my bday,
or maybe it's the candy,
or maybe it's because it reminds us all to share the love....
No matter why I love it: I JUST DO!
I digress.
While planning for the holiday this year I had to change it up a bit. First of all I had these kiddos last year, so the same old box of tricks isn't going to be as fun. Secondly, they are a little older and I just need something a bit tougher.
Then this appeared at my desk.

and it hit the spot!

Voila:

Learning to
LOVE LETTERS

This adorable unit comes packed with 32 pages worth of Valentine's Day friendly letter fun! Students will learn the 5 parts of a friendly letter with the teacher on an anchor chart and the teacher will have an assessment that matches to see what the students have learned. Once the students know the parts of a letter they can use the 29 holiday vocabulary cards to help generate ideas for their letters. Students have the choice of 9 different writing templates!

Unit Includes:
- Anchor Chart / Bulletin Board Labels
- parts of a friendly letter assessment
- 29 vocab cards
- 9 letter templates
- 1 example letter

Wanted to ask you, I looked in your techy section. How do you put that cute little pin it button next to each picture?

Hi Jessica,

I found your fonts through The School Supply Addict's post about fonts. I've been following your blog a while, but I somehow missed the fonts. I'm curious about the name of your font "Walkup Way". Walkup is my maiden name, and I'm wondering if you named it for someone. It's not a name you see often. Love the fonts, and your blog is great.

Take care,
karen
